"Duplicate Provider Authority", won't install

I am trying to upgrade from Droid Scan Lite to Droid Scan Pro. When Droid Scan Pro is installing, I get the message "Duplicate provider authority" and the install fails. What should I do?

A:

As of the Droid Scan 4.0 series, the Lite version and the Pro version can't both be installed at the same time, for technical reasons. You can resolve the issue by uninstalling Droid Scan Lite, then re-installing Droid Scan Pro. You will not be charged twice.

A fix for this issue will ship with the next minor update.
