Q:

I am trying to download [Droid Scan Pro / Droid Scan Lite / Droid Scan Upgrade], but I keep getting a "Download Unsuccessful" message or something similar from the Google Play app. What should I do?

A:

Because app distribution is handled by the Google Play team, not individual application publishers, we may not be able to resolve the issue, but the following procedure frequently works:

1. Power cycle the device.
2. Make sure the device is connected to a WiFi or cellular data network.
3. Retry the download.

Another issue to be aware of is that your purchase transaction may not have completed, or it may have failed because of a problem with your account (a typo in your address or credit card info, or a problem with carrier billing if you use it).

In this case the Google Play support team can fix the problem*. To contact Google Play support:

*If nothing else works, it's possible that Trans-code Design can help out by cancelling your order so that you can repurchase the app. For this to work we need the name on your account and your order number, and you should get in touch via the support email address.
