Blurry Scans

I've been trying to scan pages from a book. I took the picture and spent a lot of time in DroidScan trying to adjust it. I then move it to my computer and the text is blurry. It's not a good "scan" by any measure, like what I would get if I put it on the scanner. What am I doing wrong? Flash? Camera too close or too far? Any suggestions? I bought this app because I do scan a lot of documents and was hoping this app could help me do that faster.
